  • Keeping the skin dry and clean.
  • Change position every 2 hours using all positions (supine, right side, left side).
  • Use of special alternating pressure mattresses.
  • Sheets should be kept dry and taut.
  • Use of a catheter for incontinence.
  • Apply a thin layer of moisturizing lotion once a day.
  • In addition, emphasis should be placed on nutrition, which should be full of vitamins, trace elements and nutrients, such as proteins.

Decubitus ulcers and treatment

  • Therapies for bedsores depend on the severity of the condition.
  • Frequent position changes so that all areas of the skin are properly ventilated and are not subjected to prolonged pressure.
  • Maintaining normal skin moisture
  • Application of special dressings for faster and more effective healing of the area.
  • Use of special foam layers or dynamic air layers that regularly change the pressures on the person who is in a prone position.
  • A diet rich in vitamins, trace elements and nutrients, such as proteins.
